20-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Spokane Valley Crash at Pines Road and Eighth Avenue

Spokane Valley, WA (July 12, 2026) – A 20-year-old Spokane Valley man was killed following a motorcycle crash Saturday night at the intersection of Pines Road and Eighth Avenue in Spokane Valley.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. when Beau Pierre was traveling southbound on Pines Road and his motorcycle struck an SUV driven by 69-year-old Denise Peterson. Investigators said Peterson was traveling east through the intersection when Pierre’s motorcycle collided with the driver’s side of the SUV.

Authorities confirmed that Pierre was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and Peterson was wearing her seat belt. Pierre was pronounced dead at the scene, while Peterson was transported to a hospital with reported injuries.

The roadway was closed for several hours as the Washington State Patrol conducted an investigation and processed the crash scene. Officials reported that speed was identified as a contributing factor in the collision.

The circumstances surrounding the motorcycle crash remain under investigation, and authorities have not released additional details regarding the events leading up to the collision.
