Breaking: Spokane Valley Apartment Complex Fire Leaves 60 People Without Homes

Spokane Valley, WA (July 27, 2026) – A large apartment fire in Spokane Valley has destroyed multiple units and displaced dozens of residents, according to the Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD).

Officials reported that the fire broke out Sunday afternoon at Eagle Rock Apartments, where flames spread through all five floors of Building 8. Emergency crews received reports of the fire at approximately 1:23 p.m. and responded with around 60 firefighters and 33 emergency vehicles.

Fire officials said the blaze affected 24 apartments, with 16 units completely destroyed. Approximately 60 residents have been displaced as a result of the fire and are receiving assistance while the damage is assessed.

Crews worked to contain the flames, search the building, and assist those impacted by the incident. Fire officials confirmed that 10 pets were rescued from the building, while five pets were lost in the fire.

No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the cause of the fire, and the investigation remains ongoing.
